Monaco Classic Week – La Belle Classe

From the 11^th to the 15^th September 2013, the Monaco Classic Week will take place at the Monaco Yacht Club. The event named La Belle Classe will be open to the public, and will be surrounded by a fantastic fleet, including 66 classic yachts, of which 12 are “Big Boats” (>25m), and 11 are period motor yachts, and 40 motorboats including Rivas and Dinghy 12’s.

Woody Allen filming in Antibes! Rent a boat this summer in the French Riviera to catch a glimpse!

The iconic director Woody Allen is reportedly making his way to Antibes to film a new movie based in the Cote d’Azur. The film is believed to be a period comedy, based in the 1920’s or 30’s, though this is not confirmed. Like many of Allen’s films, it boasts an all-star cast led by Oscar-winner Colin Firth and The Help actress Emma Stone.

 

According to local French newspapers, Mr. Allen will be renting the Villa Eilenroc in Antibes, a building dating back to 1860.

The Royal Baby has arrived! Lets celebrate with a boat rental on the Cote d'Azur!

The world is celebrating the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son, at 16:24 BST on Monday. The boy, who weighed 8lb 6oz, is the third in line to the throne. We now await the name of the son, which has yet to be decided. Favourites are said to be George, James or Alexander. Kate and the baby are said to be doing well, and have not yet been released from hospital.

A bulletin on an ornate easel was placed outside Buckingham Palace, announcing the birth of the 3^rd heir to the throne, prompting celebrations everywhere.

How to get to Villefranche-sur-mer for your boat rental? It’s easy. By car, you can drive to Villefranche through Nice. It takes about 15 minutes.

 

If you fancy taking the train, the train line number 4, ran by SNCF TER, runs from Ventimiglia through to Mandelieu, with Villefranche-sur-mer in the middle. Check out the timetable here.
