Catamarano VS Monoscafo

 

Il grande successo dei catamarani nell’ultimo decennio è dovuto principalmente al fatto che il catamarano offre incredibili vantaggi rispetto al monoscafo, quando è ancorato. Eccone alcuni:

1.       Stabilità: un catamarano è molto più stabile di una qualsiasi altra imbarcazione. Per mangiare, dormire e vivere è sicuramente più confortevole ed equilibrato.

2.       Cabina di controllo: il catamarano ha una spaziosa cabina di controllo. Nei climi tropicali rappresenta un vantaggio enorme infatti di solito, si tende a dormire, leggere e cenare nella cabina di pilotaggio sotto la protezione del bimini.

3.       Spazio: Il salone del catamarano è allo stesso livello della cabina di pilotaggio il che fa in modo che la stanza principale rimanga molto più illuminata e non nel buio e allo scuro come nel monoscafo.

4.       Stivaggio: ogni qual volta in cui bisogna tirare giù l’ancora su un monoscafo tutto l’equipaggio entra in un sistema di stivaggio, su un catamarano grazie alla stabilità, è tutto molto più semplice.

5.       Privacy: grazie ai due scafi separati il catamarano offre maggiore privacy, si può viaggiare più tranquillamente, mantenendo una maggiore indipendenza.

Per il fatto che il catamarano non deve trascinare una pesante chiglia di piombo ma sta bene su in superficie, generalmente è più veloce di una barca monoscafo delle stesse dimensione, in particolare contro vento.

Ci sono certe comodità da considerare su un catamarano come: la cucina, cucina è molto più semplice, perché il catamarano è più spazioso; si soffre meno il mal di mare; il piccolo pontile di collegamento è più stabile e favorisce i rifornimenti; infine, è molto più piacevole dormire in una barca che non tallona.

Boat Rental News: Boat Fires on The French Riviera

 

 

 

For all of you renting a boat this summer,  the French Riviera has been the victim of a series of arson attacks which have taken place on the Port du Beal in Cannes. There were a reported 11 boats and two cars damaged by arson  attacks and these incidences are now being investigated by the police.

Local residents of Cannes notified the fire services last Wednesday, the 27^th of February when they noticed unusual scenes coming from Port du Beal. Fire fighters battled the flames on Port du Beal for more than an hour but the damage was already done. 4 boats, 4 to 5m in length were partially destroyed.

As police tried to identify the original source of the fire, a repeated attack took place the following Thursday destroying 7 more boats. This mysterious attack on boats in the French Rivera has prompter the gendarmes of Cannes to act quickly to investigate the suspected criminal cause behind these arson attacks.

Although extremely rare, it is important to be aware of what can happen when you rent a boat this summer.
